Check out my post: "What to Plant in Spring & Fall"
And my other post: "What to Plant in Summer"
Please note: when deciding planting dates for north, central, and south Florida, I had to consider freezes and frost dates and tropical conditions. Crops planted in the Tower Garden generally have a longer growing season than if planting in the ground because of the cooling/heating effects of the circulating water.
Keep in mind that you may be able to grow outside of these dates if you:
· Protect the Tower Garden from freezes in winter (if you get a freeze!)
· Add frozen water bottles to the tank in hot weather.
· Bring the Tower Garden indoors in summer and add Grow Lights.
· If you live by the coast (less chance of a freeze) and if you live on the Lake Wales Ridge (generally cooler temps for the region).
The Tower Garden is incredibly versatile, and you will find what works for you over the years. Use this chart as a starting point. Then record your successes (and failures) for future reference.
Happy Gardening!
